The face is the focus of much attention since it is the reflection of the identity of a person. Exposure to pollution, dirt, harmful sun rays and city life takes a toll on your facial skin. Besides, as one matures, the metabolism system of the body decelerates. Face needs persistence and regular care to preserve the lovely, flawless and younger looking skin.

Facial skin is actually quite delicate. Therefore, good facial skin care treatment should include cleansing, toning, exfoliating and moisturizing in the morning and removing the makeup, followed by toning of the skin in the evening. A healthy diet that contains an adequate amount of vitamins, minerals and protein is inherent aspect of good face care regimen. Drinking plenty of water/fluids except soda and caffeine to detoxify the body, taking sufficient sound sleep and doing regular exercises are other crucial factors to maintain healthy skin. Besides, the normal facial skin care routine, you should also consider the following:

1. You should never use detergents or harsh soaps to clean the face as they strip the skin of all its natural nutrients and age fighting resources.

2. Use the proper make up remover instead of just washing it away.

3. Avoid rubbing your skin too hard.

4. Select your skin care products as per type of your skin and the environment.

5. Always, take patch test of your skin before using any new facial skin care product.

6. Use sunscreen lotions for protection from ultraviolet rays of the sun.
